Plugin Requirements:

1.  Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 1.4.2 or above. [all platforms]

 

How to use the applet?

The wumpus world will be automatically and randomly generated. However, the user is able to manually edit the generated map by clicking the "Edit" button. Then, the user will go into EDIT mode (the grid of the wumpus map becomes red in colour). During the EDIT mode, the user can click the mouse button on any cell on the world map:

Left Mouse Button: To toggle the existence of a gold, a pit or spare. Note that a pit cannot be placed at the initial location of the wumpus agent.

Right Mouse Button: To set the location of the wumpus monster. There will be one and only one wumpus monster in the map. It can be placed anywhere except also the initial location of the agent.

If the editting process is complete, the user can click "Done" button to confirm and jumps back to EXECUTION MODE.

During the EXECUTION MODE, user can perform the following:

1. Start: To start the simulation of the wumpus world.

2. New: To get a new random world map.

3. Reset: To reset to the initial world map.

4. Edit: To go into EDIT mode.
